Stonegarden Eden Valley Shiraz
Wine
Eperosa Stonegarden Eden Valley Shiraz draws from one of Australia's oldest vineyards. The Stonegarden Vineyard at Springton in the Eden Valley is home to Shiraz vines dating back to the 1860s.
The grapes are hand sorted into small open fermenters and gently crushed by foot. The ferments receive daily hand plunging and/or rack and returns during fermentation.
After resting on skins, the wine is basket pressed to one French oak puncheon and two French oak hogsheads, where it matures on lees for 15 months. A small portion of Malbec is typically included in the final blend.
Inky garnet, Eperosa Stonegarden Eden Valley Shiraz has black fruit flavours with a deep yet approachable tannin structure and a long, mineral finish. Cellaring potential is 20 years.
